Burger Wizard 5e

Welcome to Burger Wizard, version 5e! Like the original game, it's a compact and narrative-driven rpg, in which you and your friends play as magical kitchen staff in a fantasy restaurant -- a place you create for the game, or perhaps a tavern in your group's existing adventure. Serve up magical meals to fantastical guests, defeat evils that threaten the restaurant, and manage the stress and emotions that come with working in the food service industry.

If you haven't seen the original version of this game, click here to check it out. The original version was designed for the system it uses, was made over a longer time, and is pay-what-you-want. The 5e version of this game has kept the core principles and many of the same mechanics, with some twists and additions to fit with 5e:

• altered the dice system to be d20 and tweaked a few moves to suit this
• Included guiding rules to adapt a 5e character for a Burger Wizard side-adventure
• Added a mechanic to allow players to leverage their 5e character's abilities without overpowering or trivializing the system
• included game-running advice to help 5e groups adapt to the PbtA approach

And, as an added bonus, this game comes with an original homebrewed 5e subclass for the Wizard, the School of Gastronomancy! Support your friends and influence your rivals with your magical food. Travel the world and turn monster parts into delicious dungeon dishes.
