Hollow Hike - Furtive Grasp
Hello Hollows,
With this update, I've put out a rules variant of the game: Furtive Grasp. In the Furtive Grasp variation on the rules, only the Hollow rolls dice. This is designed to speed up the flow of combat and to help players manage large pools of dice, and is specifically designed with solo GMless play in mind. The result is a combat flow with fewer decision points, but with a more consistent pace through to higher levels.
The new rules in a nutshell: the Hollow rolls their d6 pool and the foe's "dice" are assumed to roll average, so every 4+ counts as a success vs the foe's Strength as a flat value. Some Hollow and foe features have been adjusted and/or rewritten to accommodate diceless foes, including Class Powers that the foes can access through the Kindled Quality. That's pretty much it.
Furtive Grasp will also be releasing as part of a larger expansion later this year, but I wanted to release just these rules sooner because they are ready, work independently of the expansion, and I'd like to get feedback on them while the rest of the project is in development. So please this streamlined version a read and/or play and let me know what you think! I really value your feedback.
