The Hike Framework

The Hike Framework is a collection of principles and guidelines, the common threads between my game Mountain Hike and its spin-off games. I made this to reflect on my games, and to guide me in the creation of new ones. I'm sharing it here to spread game design ideas to other indie developers. 

In this reference document, you'll find:

• a breakdown of what makes a Hike game
• three example Hike games: Mountain Hike, Zombie Hike, and World Hike
• notes and commentary on each of these games
• bonus content for each of these games
• some ideas to base future Hike games on
• licensing information to publish your own Hike Framework games
