59 is a necessarily short, one-shot game about elite agents racing to stop a deadly threat. Agents have the choice to automatically succeed in something they're skilled at, for a price, to keep the action moving. And you really do need to keep the action moving: you only have 59 minutes of real time to set up the threat, create your agents, and the save day.

Underpinning the real-time stakes is the Recoup mechanic: in order to heal up and refresh your Skill Points, you must complete a real-world task while the mission timer is still ticking down. Better move fast, Agent.

This game was originally concepted and written for the One Hour or Less Jam by Dice Exploder, but I ran out of time and energy to meet the submission deadline. So instead, I trimmed the game down a bit as a submission to the One Page RPG Jam 2025 by Unknown Dungeon. There's possibly some useful material missing from this release, so I may add a back page with GM guidance at a later time.

Note: 59 contains references to violence, terrorism, and paramilitary government forces. This game is not an endorsement of any of these topics. Be aware of your group's space, comfort and abilities when assigning and performing Recoup tasks.

This is really nice! The recoup mechanic looks really fun, as well as the personal timer for each agent. Will have to try it out soon!

Did I enjoy reading it? Yes! You threw me into the action, and I'm not even playing yet.

Was I inspired by the game's concept, art, layout, and text? Very much so.

Am I keen to play the game? Yes!

One bit of feedback: A print-friendly version would be lovely.

Well done!
